  • Scientific Name: Pinus resinosa Play audio of plant name
  • Family: Pine
  • Zone: 3
  • Plant Size: 50-60'
  • Bloom Color: Not Applicable
  • Habit: Upright Oval
  • Culture:

Very adaptable. Tolerates dry sandy soils. Full sun.

  • Notes:

Possesses limited landscape value due to a loose, open habit and yellow-green winter color. Good for very dry sterile sites.

  • Pruning:

Pine, spruce and fir trees should not be pruned as they are most beautiful when allowed to develop their natural form. It is also important to locate these trees on a site with adequate space so that pruning will not be required to keep them from crowding buildings, walkways, etc.
