    Similar to Picea pungens except the stiff pointed needles are covered with a blue glaucous coating.

  • Pruning:

    Pine, spruce and fir trees should not be pruned as they are most beautiful when allowed to develop their natural form. It is also important to locate these trees on a site with adequate space so that pruning will not be required to keep them from crowding buildings, walkways, etc.
