  • Family: Spruce
  • Zone: 3

  • Bloom Color: Not Applicable
  • Habit: Pyramidal
  • Culture:

Very adaptable. Tolerates hot dry conditions. Full sun.

  • Notes:

An outstanding conifer for the residential landscape. Slow growth and a narrow dense habit keep it in scale where other spruce become overgrown. Has a clean outline and a bluish cast to the foliage.

  • Pruning:

Pine, spruce and fir trees should not be pruned as they are most beautiful when allowed to develop their natural form. It is also important to locate these trees on a site with adequate space so that pruning will not be required to keep them from crowding buildings, walkways, etc.
