    Very adaptable. Full sun to partial shade.

  • Notes:

    Has interesting fine-textured serrated foliage. Early yellow flowers are possible although rare in the upper Midwest. Exceptional as a low clipped hedge but also usable in mass plantings or as a bank cover.

    Hedges should be trimmed wider at the base to allow adequate light to the lower branches which will keep the hedge looking full. Hedges may be trimmed from spring to mid-July. If a hedge becomes overgrown and woody it may be renewed by cutting the entire plant to near the ground level in late fall or early spring.
