    These hybrids of Korean littleleaf boxwood (Buxus microphylla var. koreana) and common boxwood (Buxus sempervirens) combine the hardiness of Korean littleleaf boxwood and the green winter color of the common boxwood.

    Hedges should be trimmed wider at the base to allow adequate light to the lower branches which will keep the hedge looking full. Hedges may be trimmed from spring to mid-July. If a hedge becomes overgrown and woody it may be renewed by cutting the entire plant to near the ground level in late fall or early spring.
